What you should know about Hamilton Residential Trust
We work in partnership with the people we support, staff and also organisations within the sector to meet our vision People living life to the fullest. We understand that choosing the right service can be difficult, so our Support Services Manager, Judy Fynn is able to talk you and your family whanau through the process of deciding if Aspire is the right service for you. The Ministry funds a range of Disability Support Services including the services provided by Aspire Community Support . She has 17 years’ experience working within the education, health and social service sector disability and mental health . I feel very privileged to be given this opportunity by Aspire to make a positive contribution to the lives of the people we support and serve. Working for Aspire Community Support is the most positive life and career changing decision I have made to date. I believe in supporting people to live life as they choose, to have fun and to be contributing members of the community.
I am passionate about people being able to achieve their goals and living a life that brings them fulfilment! She has more than 10 years of experience in Accounting, Payroll and 5 years in Banking. Rata Black's current role is Operations Support where she plays a key role with Health and Safety, ensuring synergy across our teams, coaching staff and providing oversight in areas such as property and fleet management. For me life is about living, getting out and about and trying things that are both challenging and rewarding, that's also part of my job and that’s the way I like it. Having worked in the Hamilton health and community sector for 10 years, Taya is passionate about volunteering, rights and social justice. Her role sees her facilitating person centred planning processes supporting people to achieve their goals and live awesome every day lives.
I am privileged to work for a dynamic organisation with a passionate team of people dedicated to ensuring that the people we support live lives that are full, exciting and meaningful. We have 75 frontline staff, ranging from part time or casuals, through to full time Support Facilitators with a wealth of experience in the disability sector. I have enjoyed my time with Aspire and I believe we have a strong and productive Board and that our staff and the people we support are achieving great things. Neville Hablous I consider it a huge privilege to live in a place and time where the community’s most vulnerable folks are supported by all of us rather than individual families.
Having a family member at Aspire means I understand what a huge relief it is for families to find there are people and organisations out there who provide support. Russell Drake I have been a Board Member with Hamilton Residential Trust Aspire Community Support for in excess of 10 years. As my brother moved in and out of institutions during the 70’s and 80’s it reinforced to me that he could have had a far better quality of life than the systems of that day provided and hence this is why I now wish to support the sector through this governance function
